Rev. Lonnie Honeycutt (RevLon) On February 16, 2008, after a brutal battle with Stage IV, oropharyngeal cancer, Rev. Lonnie Honeycutt died. What happened afterwards changed his life forever. You can read his amazing story in the new book, "Death, Heaven and Back -- The True Story of One Man's Death and Resurrection." Death, Heaven and Back by Lonnie Honeycutt is 287 pages long and includes, among other things, pictures of the cancer treatment he underwent, the testimony of Lee McDougald (who was healed of Parkinson's disease), details of the ordeal he went through, his death, whom he met while in Heaven, his resurrection, and his life afterwards. Also included is many of the actual emails he sent during the time Lonnie was undergoing cancer treatments (these emails allow you insight into how this pastor held up through his treatments for oropharyngeal cancer, how he used his circumstances to minister grace to others and the grace of God). Death, Heaven and Back has two chapters written by Lonnie Honeycutt's wife as well as the eye witness testimony of several of his family members and friends. Death, Heaven and Back can be used as a tool for evangelism as well as for the edification of the church body as a whole.

Lee is a personal friend of mine (I've known him for over 5 years now -- he and I both attend Deeper Life Fellowship) and on March 8th, 2006, the LORD healed Lee (instantaneously) from the ravages of the advanced stages of Parkinson's disease. I can personally vouch for this man's miraculous healing (prior to being healed from Parkinson's Lee was taking 30 pills a day just to maintain some normalcy in his life). Please, take few minutes and visit his site: www.thehealedguy.com -- I promise, it will change your perspective on the power of God in this age. You will become a believer that God's Kingdom power is for the here and now and not just for the sweet by and by. For Prayer Requests Click Here March 10th, 2009 Update from Lonnie Honeycutt (RevLon): I just got back from my oncologists office and here's what he had to say about the oropharyngeal cancer that had invaded my body back in 2007: "Lonnie, your PET Scan is PERFECTLY CLEAR. There's no cancer present anywhere in your body. Somehow you seem to have beaten the cancer!"
Yay! Praise to God who
is Almighty!
By the way, while I was at
his office I was able to enter into some very strong prayer time with a
couple of fellow believers. Shiquila and Rayan were there because
he (Rayan) has been diagnosed with prostate cancer -- Stage II. It
was a really great time as I got to tell them my story, almost in its
entirety (yeah, I was there for awhile). I was also able to give
them a DVD that I happened to have in my truck. I'm not certain
what the results of our prayers will be but I'll keep you updated.
By the way, if you happen to be in the Mobile, Alabama area and are
looking for a great church, why not stop by and check out Deeper Life
Fellowship (www.deeperlifefellowship.com).
Thanks for all your prayers!

Testimonials The Following Are Testimonies From People Who Have Read 'Death, Heaven and Back' or Who Have Seen the DVD 'What If It's True: Death, Heaven and Back (Risen to Live Again) by Lonnie Honeycutt.
"Thank you for coming to teach at
our church last Wednesday. Not only were you very well spoken, the
time you took with each person who came to receive prayer from you was
very compassionate. The reason I'm writing is to let you know of a
healing that occurred just after you prayed for a man in our
congregation. You probably don't remember praying for a man who
was on crutches but he certainly remembers you. Pastor Lonnie,
about 2 weeks before you came to tell us about your visitation to
Heaven, Bill had fallen from the roof of his neighbors home and broke
his leg in two places. One was a compound fracture of the large
bone in his leg (I forget what it's called at the moment). In any
case, he was immediately rushed to the hospital, a cast was placed on
his leg up to his hip (it was the same cast he was wearing when you
prayed over him), and he was told that he would need to wear the cast
for at least 6 weeks (possibly longer because of the type of break it
was (I think they called it a 'spiral' fracture). To make a long
story short, the evening you came to our church Bill had been
complaining that his leg was hurting him. Just after you prayed
for the Lord to heal his leg he came back to where I was sitting and
told me that the pain had gone away and that his leg was 'very warm --
almost hot.' The next day Bill asked me to drive him to his
doctor's office and demanded that an x-ray be taken of his leg.
This required that the cast be removed and, due to the x-ray showing no
breaks or even fracture in his leg, he drove me that afternoon without
even a soft cast on -- none at all!! Praise God. By the way,
I know Bill very well. He and I have been married for over 25
years. Thank you so much for giving me back my husband and for
being a willing, kind servant of the Almighty!" Bettie K.
"To Dawn -- "Mom [Your Aunt Margaret -- Lonnie] got me copies of Lonnie's book (Death, Heaven and Back) and it was AWESOME to read it. You know how you believe things, by faith, but you've never seen it? Lonnie's story was such a huge confirmation for me, especially because of the dress that he saw Aunt June wearing while he was in Heaven. When I was a young teen, Aunt June put on that blue dress (I think we were going to church) and I still remember her saying how she just loved it and it was her favorite. Well, you know how skinny your mom was and I told her, "It looks too big for you with those puffy sleeves!" You could have fit 2 of her in it and then some. I didn't know why I remembered the dress so vividly until now. Wow, I love the kind of confirmations! Anyway, I sent a check for two more
books because I have some friends I'm hoping will read it and maybe
start thinking about what happens when they leave this world, and then
pass them on to others. "I want to begin by thanking Pastor Lonnie Honeycutt and Lee McDougald for taking the time out of their lives and schedules to visit The Vineyard church in Temple, Texas and share their stories of healing and God's miracles. Since their visits our church has not only been filled with its own miracles but the Holy Spirit as well! From the bottom of all of our hearts, thank you! My family's personal
basket of miracles began to overflow very quickly after Pastor Lonnie
visited our church a couple of months ago. My Mother-in-law, Mary Ann,
suffers from macular degeneration (an eye condition that is causing
her to go blind from the center of her eyes out, causing tunnel vision
and eventually total blindness). At her last check-up, before Pastor
Lonnie's visit, she was told by her Ophthalmologists
that bi-focal lenses couldn't even be an option because her eyes were so
bad that they wouldn't help. Since that time she prayed and prayed and
been prayed for that God would heal her eyes. Shortly after my
husband and I began dating I dyed my, then dark, short hair, blond and
began growing it back out long. About a year later when I began
considering to dye it back dark Mary Ann told me that she loved my blond
hair and that it was the only way she could recognize me. Those
words tugged at my heart so deeply that it became my personal
mission to help my Mother-in-law find the faith to believe God was going
to heal her eyes. I wanted her to be able to see my daughter's face and
the faces of the future grandchildren my husband and I may give her.
That was not the only
miracle God performed that day for our family through Pastor Lonnie
though. My five year old daughter, Zoie, is also legally blind.
On March
29, 2004 I left Zoie in my, then, boyfriend's care while I attended
night classes at the local community college. As soon as I arrived
at class that evening a campus police officer pulled me from
class to inform me that my daughter had been injured and was
being rushed to the hospital by ambulance. As I sped to the
hospital that evening I never thought in a million years that my
life was about to be completely turned upside down. Initially my
boyfriend told the police that Zoie had been jumping on the couch and
fell off and bumped her head. But, as the doctors at the hospital ran more
and more tests it became obvious to everyone that there was a lot more
to the story than a fall off of the couch. Though we never got a real
confession of what happened that night the doctor's concluded that Zoie
had been beaten severely and suffered from mostly internal injuries.
She suffered
from a fracture to the front and back of her skull, a fracture to her
cheekbone and her wrist, severe liver trauma, and, due to the blunt force
trauma, Zoie's brain shifted and swelled. She was in Pedi-ICU for two
weeks. The doctor's compared her injuries to falling off of a two story
building.
Consequently, shortly after she suffered from the beating, Zoie's eyes began to shift and roam. The doctor's were sure that it was due to her head injuries and began as much therapy with eye patches and glasses as they could to try and correct her vision but nothing worked. She eventually had surgery to loosen her eye muscles and underwent lasik surgery to try and correct her vision. However, we were told that there was only a one in five chance that the corrections would hold on a victim of head injuries. Since, her surgeries we have had regular visits with the ophthalmologists and, over the last couple of years, there has been slow improvement. But, we were still concerned as to whether or not she'd ever be able to see well enough to read. Well, a week or two after Pastor Lonnie had prayed for Zoie to have her sight restored, Zoie had a check-up. On May 11th the doctor told us that not only had Zoie been the best patient he'd seen all morning but the best improved diagnosis as well. Now the doctor is confident that Zoie will not only have absolutely no problems reading but should be able to exchange her glasses for contacts by junior high which has never even been mentioned as an option for her in the past! There are no words that can the describe the gratitude I have in my heart for Pastor Lonnie. God is truly working amazing miracles through him and I believe God has given him a great gift of prayer and healing. Through Pastor Lonnie God not only healed some of my family's worse physical ailments but our hearts as well. Our hunger for God's word and our faith is now stronger than ever. We know now that as long as you have faith in God and salvation through Jesus Christ all things are possible. Through all the pain and suffering we have endured there has never been a moment God has not been evident in our lives and he has rewarded every heartbreaking moment with an abundance of blessings. Now our biggest mission is to help bring as many people to Christ through Mary Ann and Zoie's testimonies as we can. In a world where chaos has become an ever pressing event from the economy to the wars developing all over the world, not to mention the natural disasters that are ravishing our country, it is more important than ever to help people realize that the only person who can free them from their worries and obstacles is our father in Heaven and through his love and salvation only then can we truly feel comfort and peace at those hardest of moments.
Sincerely your sister in Christ,
Cassie D.
"I began reading your book (Death, Heaven and Back) but felt it was needed more by a close friend who had been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor several years ago. To date, he has been the longest lasting cancer survivor of long term radiation in the group he has been in. He has been battling this dreaded disease for a number of years now. Just a few months ago, he came to me depressed about the additional growth the tumor had made. I consoled him and told him God was bigger than his tumor. Last Thursday we had dinner with he and his wife. It was then I gave him your book (knowing he could use it more than me). I talked with him on Sunday and he had read half way through it. On Monday, he and his wife began a trip to the far away cancer center where he had been receiving treatment. Today I got a phone call and he was so excited he could barely speak. He told me that the doctors said that the once cancerous brain tumor which had been growing even larger a few months ago, was suddenly gone! There is no sign of a tumor and there is no cancer! The only thing left was some scar tissue. I know with a certainty that Jesus healed him. The prayers for his healing has been going on for over two years. But just after getting into your book, he found healing. Coincidence? I think not. I have said time and again that God has always been able, its just our lack of faith. Perhaps, this was the faith He needed for his healing. Regardless of the reasons, I know your book was an inspiration to him and only God knows the part it has played. I can not thank you enough for publishing this book. Don’t get me wrong, I give God all the credit but I can’t help believe that the faith we lack is sometimes found in people like yourselves that God leads us to. Larry is one of two who has been battling cancer. David is the other. I told them both weeks ago that we were going to make a field trip to your church. I told Larry that as soon as he was finished with your book, to give it to David. I am believing GOD for two miracles, not just one! God Bless and keep you." Jeffrey J. "Dear Rev. Lonnie Honeycutt, I am about half way through your book "Death Heaven and Back." My wife and I are survivors too (I have an Anaplastic Astrocytoma Grade IV brain tumor). Like you, the radiation and treatment almost killed me. I thought that since we live in the Gulf Breeze, Florida area near Pensacola, perhaps we could meet. Let me know what you think." In Service of God, Larry and Shelly B. "I've probably read just about every type of after death, near death, life after death book there is on the market. Everything from 90 Minutes In Heaven by Don Piper, Life After Death: The Burden of Proof by Deepak Chopra, Life After Life: The Investigation of a Phenomenon -- Survival of Bodily Death by Raymond Moody and Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, Is there Life After Death? by Anthony Peake, The Day I Died by Steve Sjogren, Death and the After Life by Dr. Robert Morey, The Bardo Thodel - The Tibetan Book of the Dead and many, many others. So, it was with a certain firm hesitancy that I began reading Rev. Lonnie Honeycutt's book titled, "Death, Heaven and Back" and sub-titled, "The True Story of One Man's Death and Resurrection." Not being one to take kindly to fanciful tales of what Heaven and Hell might be like I expected that Mr. Honeycutt would, nonetheless, weave such a tale. To say that I was surprised by the content of Lonnie Honeycutt's book would be a dire understatement. To begin with, Mr. Honeycutt flatly states that he has very little stake in whether or not someone believes the story he tells. This, in and of itself, my my 'inner ears' perk-up due to the fact that I've never before encountered an author who so unabashedly denies any concern as to whether a particular reader believes the story he is going to tell -- especially if the story is supposed to be non-fiction. While I can't help but to doubt that Rev. Honeycutt actually doesn't care about whether someone believes in Heaven or not (otherwise why write down his experiences), it was telling, at least to me, he definitely didn't belabor the issue of whether or not he'd actually died, went to Heaven and returned. Instead, Rev. Lonnie Honeycutt (or RevLon as he refers to himself throughout the email section of Death, Heaven and Back), simply states what had supposedly happened to him after he had died and allows the reader to come to his/her own conclusion. Interestingly, Rev. Honeycutt pays a great deal of attention to his medical history, the type of cancer that he had and the results of the treatments he received. One might have a difficult time believing some of the statements in the book as it concerns the severity of his disfigurement which was caused by the radiation had he not also provided pictures to show the same. The reason I mention the detail Mr. Lonnie Honeycutt gives in the book on his life after death experience concerning his physical ailments is because this is something I've found sorely lacking in almost all other books of this type (with the exception of Don Piper's book, 90 Minutes In Heaven). Without belaboring the point that he was devastatingly ill, RevLon takes his readers on a journey by way of personal testimony and eye-witnesses that include his wife, his brother and mother, and several friends that completely captivates the one reading it. His description of Heaven is simple, straightforward and powerful without any hint of exaggeration. He even states, in so many words, that while people may reasonably doubt his ascension into the Heavenly realm because such as experience is undeniably subjective, that the one thing he hopes everyone comes away with is an awe of God's ability for creative and restorative miracles today due to the undeniable reality of the healing his own body went through after his resurrection. While I could certainly find things in Death, Heaven and Back that I might disagree with I found the book captivating, exciting, and funny (many of the stories Lonnie relates in the email section of his book I found extremely humorous). All-in-all, Death, Heaven and Back, as an experience of the afterlife, a religious treatise, and a book about living life to the fullest even in the midst of major trials, is a book I highly recommend." Darren T. "When I read this book [Death, Heaven and Back by Lonnie Honeycutt], it was so amazingly real and made an impact on my life in a way that I never thought that it could. The book illustrates the struggles that this man went through as cancer battled its way into his life and eventually, with God's amazing hand, Lonnie wins the battle! Lonnie, the man in this book, never gives up hope in the Lord and it inspired me that he would never stop giving it all back to God. If you are going through anything, big or small, this is an awesome book to read, that will encourage you and remind you that you are in God's hands and he will take care of you! I recommend this book to anyone!" Meredith S. "My husband and I loved the book, Death, Heaven and Back! What really makes it exciting is we were there for the entire thing except the trip to heaven but we were at the hospital waiting for him to return. Lonnie Honeycutt fought a tremendous battle, and every word is true! If this doesn't convince you about God and miracles I don't know what could. As for us WE BELIEVE!!!!" Elizabeth B. "Dear Rev. Lonnie Honeycutt, I was recently given your book on your life after death experience ('Death, Heaven and Back') and I was immediately struck by the genuineness of your writing. While I don't know you and I'm usually very skeptical about religious writings I found your book to be... well, 'refreshing' is the only word I can use to describe it. Not only do you write well you write with an intensity and gentleness of someone who has truly been through a life-altering trauma (i.e., your battle with cancer). I can honestly say that I've never, ever read a book that was put together from so many different perspectives. Initially I thought I'd find such a seemingly random approach to telling 'your' story to be bothersome. However, that wasn't the case at all. In fact, having 'heard' from so many people I find your story to be even more compelling. By the way, I really did enjoy your email section perhaps more than the first half of your book. Good job! Who knows, since I'm now considering Christ we may one day see each other in, as you call it, 'the other country.'" Douglas M. "Thank you, thank
you, thank you for sending me the links to Rev. Lonnie Honeycutt's DVD
excerpts for Death, Heaven and Back. I am in awe. I watched
every minute of Rev. Honeycutt's testimony. I interrupted
my viewing only once - to re-load my coffee mug and unload my bladder. Rich P. "Thank you so much for sharing your book 'Death, Heaven and Back' with my wife and me. I found it to be very well written and your account of going to Heaven isn't the least bit sensationalistic. I found this to be very refreshing as many books that recount near death or death experiences fall into the category of 'whipping the senses up' in order to cause people to bond with them. Your book, in it's entirety, is a great tool for witnessing both to the saved and the unsaved. Thank you my brother for following God's direction and sharing it with the world. I must confess that once I'd read your book, Death, Heaven and Back that I hesitated to watch your Death, Heaven and Back DVD because I didn't think it would be as good. Boy, I was wrong. I enjoyed seeing you talk about the experiences you had with cancer as well as your Heavenly experience. Actually hearing you talk made me realize what kind of tremendous impact the Lord has had on your life. And the full-color photos were startling as far as they concerned the after effects of your cancer treatments. Thanks again. Know that I will be telling my entire congregation to order the book Death, Heaven and Back by you, Lonnie Honeycutt, as soon as Sunday rolls around." In Christ's Love, Rev. Douglas G. "Pastor Honeycutt, THANK YOU for writing the book "Death Heaven and Back" and sharing it with my friend David who then shared it with me. I can't tell you how much it has impacted my life. Having cancer myself I used to think my life was over. Now, I know, that as a Child of Christ, that my life has only just begun. I now know that just as Jesus Christ said, "Even if a man dies he shall live" as long as we believe in Him. Your story in both the DVD and book forms, made me weep with joy! Thanks again for sharing your near death experience with me through my friend." Charlie W. "Dear Lonnie, First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Tasha and I have 3 children. We live in Campbellsville, KY. I'm 36 years old. I got your DVD (Death, Heaven and Back) for Christmas and I have to say it is phenomenal. You are such a remarkable person and have such a remarkable story. It touched me in so many ways. You are so inspiring to not only me but my 9 year old daughter. I quit going to church back in November because I thought church was too powerful and the pastor was too harsh. By that I mean my pastor always seemed to talk about issues I was having or going through. To say the least church seared me. To make a long story short, after watching your DVD in December of 2008 I've started going back to church and I have gotten off of drugs and alcohol. Your story inspired me to do this. I thought 'If Lonnie can overcome cancer and not have any visible signs of cancer with Gods help, then I can overcome my own addictions.' God has blessed you and God will bless me too. Thank you so much for inspiring my daughter to want to go to church and to Heaven. She wants to see the "streets of translucent gold." To hear you tell it, Heaven has to be so serene. Anyway, I just wanted to say Thank You and to encourage you to keep looking to God for all your answers. Sincerely, Tasha S." "Dear Pastor Lonnie (RevLon): I received your DVD entitled: 'What If It's True: Death, Heaven and Back (Risen to Live Again)' in November. It was sent to me by my dear friend who has known me for years upon years. She requested that I watch the DVD because she thought I would be touched by how the Lord healed you after allowing you to go through Stage 4 oropharyngeal cancer. Honestly, I had no idea how He was going to touch me at the time but He certainly did. As an introduction to who I am, I spent several years working in the nursing industry until one day almost 15 years ago I was forced to quit my job due to physical problems with my back. To put it bluntly I was in severe pain -- so severe that I had to ride in a wheelchair just to get around. So, for a little more than the last decade of my life I had been wheelchair bound. Did you notice that I said 'had been' rather than 'have been?' The reason is because after I saw your video, Death, Heaven and Back -- about the time when you suffered through cancer treatments and eventually died and visited Heaven -- I was moved to have faith in a God Who could and would heal me. In fact, after I saw the DVD it was almost like I heard God audibly tell me that if I had faith in Him and what He could do for me that if I took a chance and tried to stand up that He would allow me to walk once again. I've got to tell you that what happened next astounded me. I decided to trust that God would indeed heal me and I tried to stand up. Guess what? It happened. I was healed!!! Praise Jesus Christ! I didn't tell my friend about my healing for quite some time because I wanted to make certain it was 'real.' Imagine that... after all those years of not being able to walk and then, all of a sudden, I was and yet I still doubted -- somewhere in my soul -- that I was really and truly healed. Well, as you know (since we met a few weeks ago and I was walking around just fine), my healing was real and is real and I'm a changed woman. Because I've been able to move around I've lost almost 70 pounds at this point, my diabetes is getting under control and I feel as though God has given me a new lease on life. Thanks so much for allowing your testimony of going to Heaven, what it is like in Heaven, and of your returning to your life after death to be recorded at Deeper Life Fellowship. I can't begin to tell you how much I've been blessed. I'm definitely looking forward to reading your new book Death, Heaven and Back (The True Story of One Man's Death and Resurrection). I've already read Don Piper's book 90 Minutes In Heaven and was enthralled with it. I've heard that Lee McDougald's story of how he was healed of Parkinson's disease is in your book as well. Thank you and may God bless you. Barbara W." "Lonnie, I received your book (Death Heaven and Back) a few days ago and am already over half way done with it. What a blessing! I
have been moved to tears many times over and it was just weighing on my
heart to send you a message of thanks for sharing your story. I wish
I had been closer when you were going through those tribulations and am
glad you have such wonderful friends and family that were there to pull
you through. What a love you and your wife share, it is truly
inspiring. I look forward to finishing the book and plan on
sharing it with our pastor. Oh, and while I think about it, we have
good news on that front as both of our boys (15 & 8) will be baptized
next month. This only serves to reinforce the goodness of our GOD! Please keep in touch
and I pray that God continues to bless you and those around you as He
already has. Love in Christ, Christa M." "I really enjoyed
the book [Death, Heaven and Back]. The individual perspectives from
his wife, family and friends really give an all around overview of what
happened. "I've never seen
a book [Death, Heaven and Back] like this before. In this book,
Lonnie Honeycutt reveals the struggles and the weaknesses, as well as the
victories. In addition to his description of Heaven, his wife, his
friends, his neighbors, his pastor, his fellow church members have all
contributed their experience to this story. "Dear Brother Lonnie, Wow! What else can I say. Not only is your book "Death, Heaven and Back" extremely well written it is also compellingly written in that your life after death experience is so vividly detailed. I truly enjoyed every page of it -- even more than Don Piper's book 90 Minutes In Heaven (which I greatly enjoyed). I feel as though I lived through part of the trauma and the bliss described in Death, Heaven and Back because of the accounts given by not only your wife but your neighbors and friends as well. Reading about how the Lord blessed Lee Macdougald by healing him of Parkinsons disease really inspired me as well to pray for others. Your honesty in detailing how you felt during your trial was refreshing since so many religious books I read seem to gloss over the tough times. Plus, being able to read through the email sections of your book tells me a lot of about the character God has instilled in you. Rev. Lonnie (RevLon), I can't thank you enough for blessing me and those I know with your book. I will be purchasing your DVD - which I just saw at a friends church (they showed it on a BIG Screen) the other day. I can't wait to have "What If It's True: Death, Heaven and Back (Risen to Live Again) to show my friends. May God bless you and your church DeeperLife Fellowship East! Darla. J." "I loved this book and highly recommend it for anyone going through cancer or dealing with someone who has cancer. Not only is this an amazing story of someone coming back from death, it is also the story of how to walk through incredible difficulty with integrity." Janet S. "I began reading your story after I'd seen your DVD (a friend mailed me your DVD and later bought the book Death, Heaven and Back for me). I was very surprised at my reaction to both. My wife would be the first to tell you that I'm not one to show emotion all that much. But, when I saw what you had been through and then read how you continued to praise the Lord by 'walking the walk' and not just 'talking the talk' I cried. I'm proud that you are my Brother in Christ and hope that one day we'll be able to meet. If you ever come to Madrid please let me know and you have a place to stay. If I ever get to where you live I'd like to visit Deeper Life Fellowship and meet both you and Lee McDougald." Stephen V. |
