About Rev. Lonnie Honeycutt

On February 16, 2008, after a brutal battle with Stage IV cancer, Lonnie Honeycutt died. Strange as it may sound, what happened next changed his life forever.

Death, Heaven, and Back is the true story of a man's battle with cancer, his death, his trip to Heaven (what he saw, whom he met, and why he returned), and his resurrection. After seeing her husband undergo months of treatments for a cancer that had invaded his body his wife (Dawn) was told that Lonnie had died after suffering respiratory (cardiac) arrest and brain death. This book records the events that occurred before, during and after his death in graphic detail provided by his friends and family as well the personal testimony of the man who experienced it all. Death, Heaven, and Back will give you hope that God still works miracles, that He has a plan for your life, and that there is life after death. If you know of anyone who is sick or who has died, you should read this book. It will change the way you live you life now and in eternity.

Lonnie Honeycutt is an ordained, evangelical minister. Currently he lives in Mobile, Alabama with his wife and two children. Prior to dying Rev. Honeycutt served as both a senior and associate pastor for over 5 years.

During that time he had the honor of counseling many hundreds of individuals. Since dying and being resurrected Rev. Honeycutt has had the opportunity to speak at churches and groups across the nation. Prior to giving his life to Jesus Christ Lonnie was a devote agnostic. While working at a laboratory he was approached and befriended by a Jehovah's Witness and thus began a period of study with the same that lasted more than three years. During this time Lonnie began studying koine Greek and issues pertaining to the Bible. After repeatedly questioning the teachings of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society for more than two years Lonnie was asked to leave the Jehovah's Witnesses organization. Though never baptized as a Jehovah's Witness he is considered an authority on what they teach, how they come to believe what they believe, and how to reach out to them effectively. Just prior to leaving the Jehovah's Witnesses Lonnie began studying different belief systems in a search to find the truth about God. His studies included, but were not limited to: Mormonism, Buddhism, Orthodox Christianity, and many New Age theologies. At the age of 21 a Christian minister suggested to Lonnie that he read the entire New Testament and then ask God to reveal Himself to Lonnie if He were real. Two days later Lonnie had completed the New Testament and, just after midnight on September 13, 1986, he asked Christ into his life and became a new creature. Since his conversion and rebirth Lonnie has attempted to witness to as many people as possible about Jesus. He has conducted seminars ranging in content from creation/evolution to salvation and the Trinity to Cults. Rev. Honeycutt (RevLon) believes that one of the reasons he was given the chance to return to Earth was so that he could tell everyone possible about the facts that Heaven and Hell are real and that each and every person can go to the former (Heaven) and escape the latter (Hell) by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. His book, 'Death, Heaven and Back' is one of the ways that he does this.
